Easter is a wonderful time of year – the kids have two weeks freedom, the spring flowers are in full bloom, and the weather shows signs of getting warmer. It’s also the perfect time to take an Easter holiday by the sea, and we have midweek availability during the Easter period that provide the opportunity to do just that.
There’s lots going on in West Sussex to make Easter fun for all the family. At the beautiful Petworth House & Park, there’s a Cadbury’s Easter Egg Hunt, guaranteed to keep children (and adults) amused with traditional fun around the house and servants quarters. This runs from 25th March to 3rd April, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
Just up the road from the beach houses is Arundel Wetland Centre, and from 24th March to 10th April, and they’re holding a Giant Duck Hunt. This involves following clues in order to win a treat, and there’s also the chance to see real wild ducklings around the centre too.
One of our favourite places, Fontwell Park, are holding an Easter Eggstravaganza Race Day on 1st April from 12.30-6.00pm. As well as jumps racing, there will be a host of activities for kids, such as face painting, pony rides, an Easter egg hunt, and lots of childrens rides too.
